So yesterday I cut the old root system off this tree and put it in a pond basket. The new ground layered roots had a good spread and seemed healthy. I’ve also thread grafted a new branch which I think I snapped so don’t know if it will survive.
I I repotted this today. Cut back the old airlayer roots, cut back the stub and screwed a board underneath it to keep it flat

I I repotted this today. Cut the roots back from last years airlayer so it was flat, cut the stub back and screwed a small board to the underside of this tree. Plan is to sort the roots before ground growing.
Today I reported this as the bus have started to move. I cut the roots from last years airlayer, cut the stub back, got rid of most of the sphagnum moss and screwed in a board to encourage flat roots.
So I reported this airlayer. Cut the downward growing roots from the old airlayer, cut back the stump and screwed a board in the bottom.
